We bring our cats and kittens into the community by having adoptions at Petsmart in Annapolis every Saturday from noon to 3pm.
We also work with Petfinders to find loving homes for our feline friends. Click on the links below to view all of our cats and kitties that are available presently for adoption.
Potential adopters are asked to complete an adoption application. Once the application is submitted, a Cats R Us representative will go over the application with the potential adopter. If there are already other animals at home, veterinary references will be sought and a veterinary check will be needed. This process is simply to protect the health of the adoption candidate and the companion animals already owned. Providing all goes well, an appointment for a home visit will be arranged and the adoption will take place at this time.
All of our rescues, adults and kittens, are spayed or neutered BEFORE being placed in a permanent home. Our cats and kittens have been evaluated by a veterinarian and given the proper tests (FeLV/FIV) and vaccines, wormed and treated for fleas. Our adoption fee is $110 for one, $180 for two.
If you are gone from home for an extended period during the day, and desire to adopt a kitten, please consider adopting two and share in the wonderful enjoyment two kitties bring to your life. It is not much more of an expense and you will be delighted (and comforted) in knowing that they have each other while you are away!
"Last summer we were looking to adopt a companion kitten for our 3-year-old cat, Lucy. We decided to adopt through CRU because of their humane practices and “trap-and-neuter” program. Vencka, a CRU volunteer, asked many questions and helped us decide which kitten would complement Lucy’s strong personality. We were introduced to Sherman a medium hair black kitten. When Sherman was brought to our home, Vencka helped us find ways to introduce him to Lucy. At first Lucy was very hesitant, but after a couple weeks they were inseparable. Sherman is a very loving cat who greets us at the door and follows us around looking for belly rubs. He has been such a blessing in our lives and we can’t imagine our home without him!"
